Bringing it back to my first-year final project at Goldsmiths, where I took on the challenge of alternative food sources and created some (actually delicious sweet dishes featuring... bugs) 🐛 🐞 🪳

After visiting an insect farm and attending an insect cooking class, I made desserts that brought these underrated ingredients to the forefront. Could this be a glimpse into the future of sustainable meals? 🍰

Sashiko (刺し子), a traditional Japanese stitching technique, was originally used to extend the life of garments worn by fishermen and farmers. Today, its relevance reaches far beyond its origins, serving as a powerful reminder of the value of preservation in our daily lives.

In an era of fast fashion, practices like Sashiko remind us of the importance of sustainability and honoring the stories behind the objects we use. Each stitch becomes a step toward conscious consumption and cultural appreciation.
